I'm Carena Toy! I'm interested in adding to my skillset and creating new things. As an engineer I'm always interested in developing new things that will have an impact on the world!
I was born and raised in Seattle where I did club gymnastics and I developed a love for the outdoors. I've recently returned to the area for work.
While in Hawaii, I worked on a small e-commerce website and was a caregiver for my grandmother.
I'm a recent grad of Cooper Union with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, my coursework focused in mechanical engineering. I also have two minors, one in computer science and one in humanities & social sciences.
I lived in a North Dallas suburb for a majority of high school, where I learned how to sell at Nordstrom and became a gymnastics judge.
I've been baking since I was very young, something I've enjoyed doing for awhile. I stress bake, bored bake, or just to try something new.
Having been a club gymnast, I quickly picked up the rules. I enjoyed learning and applying the rules and keep involved by being a USAG certified gymnastics judge.
I was a Girl Scout for 12 years and am still a lifetime member. I also received my Gold Award.
A recent interest of mine is photography, largely stemming from my interest in being able to document my baking.
My goal is to learn new and improve current prototyping skills. Especially during the COVID-19 quarantine, I'm interested in learning new skills and mastering currentareas. From 3D printing to welding and CNC machining, my current project is to develop these skills.
My latest venture is a Hawaii-based company to provide affordable products for creative people on the islands.
